announcements before the service?

Postby MrMosey » Sun Mar 16, 2008 10:15 pm

I'm curious: does anybody else miss having the announcements right before offering? It's not bad having them before the service, just different. I do wonder, however, how many folks miss them completely while visiting in the foyer (of course, they're usually also in the bulletin and always on the website too).

(I also wonder who, if anyone, ever browses the BRBC Forums...)

i do not miss pre-offering announcements, per se, though the reordering has required slight adjustment (i find my brain instructs me out of habit to sit or stand at what are now the wrong times, heh). i still hold that presenting the announcements early in the service encourages people to arrive on-time--though with the several other methods of information-dispensing we offer, no one need ever be out of the loop, even for having missed the announcements.

(well, that makes two whos so far...)
